NEED INVESTORS
A friend of mine started a company on his own right after we graduated from college. He runs a company that does data backup offsite for major corporations. He was always pretty good with computers in college, and he was an informatics major. Indiana actually has a great program for computer sciences, and he got the idea for his company from an internship that he got from the school. He interned for a company that did data storage, but it was in-house at the individual corporations. He realized one day when there was a fire in one of the office buildings that he was working at that there should be a service that did data backup storage offsite. He managed to get a couple of investors and some seed money and he got his company going. Lucky for him, his new business was a great success. He found all sorts of clients that were interested in his services. They were also willing to pay a good deal of money for his services. I am really proud of him that he was able to do something like that all by himself. I know people are happy when they are successful, but it has to mean more when you do it all by yourself.
