MANY JOBS
I’ve tried a lot of jobs, but I have to say that a bill collector is the worst one yet. It’s because of these FDCPA laws. Basically, these laws state that if a bill collector goes over the line and starts harassing a debtor, these laws make the bill collector back off. But that means a bill collector like me can’t get that debt paid and then I don’t get that commission and then I can’t make the monthly payment on my 1999 Dodge Viper! And I just got it redone in hot rod red paint! That’s the way the government is. Always picking on the little guy, trying to keep him down so he can’t earn as much money as possible. At times like this, I wish the communists had won the cold war. What’s wrong with me camping at on a debtor’s doorstep or repeatedly calling him at all hours of the night? I can follow him to work, can’t I? If I don’t hound the guy, why else would he finally own up and pay that debt? If he was an all right guy, he probably wouldn’t owe anyone any money in the first place. I’m just trying to do my job here, people.
